Sore throat

It always comes at an inconvenient time. First a little irritation in the throat, and a few hours later an unpleasant sharp pain and soreness in the whole throat. It hurts to swallow.

Mucoangin® (ambrosol) is a lozenge which active substance permeates the infected tissue and relieves the pain. It acts very quickly and has a long-lasting effect.

One lozenge is effective within 30 minutes, and the effect lasts for three hours. It does not kill bacteria and thus is not claimed to be a cure for the symptoms. In any case, ordinary colds and sore throats are usually caused by a virus and not bacteria. A throat infection can be caused by both a viral and bacterial infection.

Mucoangin® lozenges have a pleasant mint flavour and produce a relieving honey-like feeling in the throat. Three clinical studies show that Ambroxol is an effective treatment of sore throats.

The new lozenges are only available in pharmacies and do not require a prescription.
