Before applying for a job with Boehringer Ingelheim, you may here read more about us as a company and about the recruitment process.
When you send us your application, you should first of all know what kind of company Boehringer Ingelheim is and the values that characterize us as well as in which fields we are operating. This in order to give you an impression of whether or not you could see yourself as part of the Boehringer Ingelheim culture and whether we can offer you what you are looking for. If you think that we sound like a company for you, we would be happy to receive your application.
The purpose of your application is to make us want to invite you for a detailed interview. Therefore, it is important that you have an idea of what the job is about and how you can contribute. If you cannot find sufficient information on our homepage or in the job ad, you are always welcome to contact the recruiting manager or our HR department for further information.
Your application gives us an impression of you as a person. This means a nuanced description of your professional qualifications as well as personal qualifications in relation to the job. It should clearly appear why you would like to get the job and why we should specifically select you. This way the application is more than just an accompanying note to your CV.
If you send us an unsolicited application, you should also emphasize what your core competencies are, and how you would like to use them. Remember to read about our values and history to make sure that you know beforehand, whether we share the same values.
Your CV should give us a detailed outline of your career and professional background with special focus on the things that will be interesting specifically in connection with the job for which you are applying.
If your application has made us interested, we will invite you for an interview. Normally, you will go through two to three interviews before a possible employment. Sometimes, we use personality tests. However, this will only be at the 2nd or 3rd round of interviews.
If we have advertised for the job, the first interview will be with an HR consultant and a manager from the recruiting department. If you are considered a suitable candidate for the job, you will then be invited for the second round of interviews, typically with the recruiting manager, his/her superior and our managing director and HR.
If we believe that you are the right candidate for the job, we will offer you employment with Boehringer Ingelheim, and we will immediately send you a contract for your perusal and signature.
A working day in Boehringer Ingelheim is characterized by exiting and challenging tasks – but like all other jobs, also routine tasks will naturally have to be handled as well. Not two days are alike, and you will have many opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.
Our employees vary in age, sex, religion, educational background, personal interests and work experience. We make a virtue of being a “motley crew”, as we believe that this will provide the optimal framework for innovative cooperation. However, we have in common that we are competent, engaged, curious and helpful.
In Boehringer Ingelheim we believe that starting in a new position requires a thorough introduction to the company, the departments and your new job function. As a new employee, you should have the opportunity to become familiar with your new working place and your colleagues. Hence, all new employees will follow an introduction program.
Before you start, you will receive a plan for your introduction program and a welcome pack to ensure that you know what your first days will look like and so that you can feel we are thinking about you and looking forward to your arrival. The introduction program comprises a number of general activities to ensure a thorough introduction of fundamental issues in relation to the daily work.
The introduction program will also include some concrete introduction activities related to your specific job function. As part of the program, we have planned meetings with your new manager and relevant colleagues within the organisation.
We are looking forward to receiving your application.
